How to turn the averatec laptop 5100 wireless switch on

on my hp the light is blue when switch is on. go to network and conn. and make sure ur wireless is turn off there. cause if my switch is in the on position and i turn it off hp wireless assistant the light will glow orange eventhough the switch is on . ?
